RESOURCES FOR Y5 DURING SCHOOL CLOSURE
Y5! Remember before half term we were studying Andy Warhol and the Pop Art era? I have recreated a famous Warhol painting and added the pop art effect! Your challenge is to recreate the original painting with your own pop art style. I would love to see pictures! My drawing took a couple of hours each afternoon to complete. Maybe this could be a nice art project to keep you busy over Easter? Perfect opportunity to show your resilience. Miss Murphy x
Hi Y5, I am sure you are all working really hard and making me very proud at home. Please check https://www.bbc.co.uk/
Good morning Y5! I feel fantastic after my Joe Wicks PE lesson this morning. I hope you’ve all been joining in too! Now I’ve set myself a challenge to see how many jumps I can do in a minute. Remember to do something each day that makes you smile and gets you moving! Miss Murphy x
Year Five - Benjamin Zephania
Welcome to the Year 5 Class!
Our class name for this academic year is ‘Benjamin Zephaniah’. Benjamin is a well renowned British poet and writer who has received numerous awards for his work alongside several honorary doctorates from various universities across Britain. He is a member of the Times’ list of 50 greatest post war writers and is a true testament of hard work and dedication. From a young age Benjamin was diagnosed with dyslexia and left school unable to read or write. Despite this, he is now considered one of the most influential modern day poets and has inspired generations of people across the world.
